Mr. Barrick has spent the last 30 years serving his clients and managing successful projects that have led him to create Smart Business Doctor. Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree Business Administration, Specialization Marketing / Management from Elmira College in New York. His ability to deliver more than expected results, with integrity and engaging solutions, is what sets his company apart from the competition. Joe spent most of his career within two industries: Real estate development/construction and Business Engineering. His vast knowledge of operations, corporate finance and c-suite advisement has helped navigate companies through difficult transitions. Joe believes that all organizations have the ability to move from good to great through smart decisive action and customized solutions. Mr. Barrick oversees a team of committed employees that embrace his creed of conduct and believe in helping clients meet true success.

Patricia Davis has been with Smart Business Doctor since its start, serving as Chief Operations Officer.
Ms. Davis has more than twenty years of executive leadership experience in the corporate sector. Patricia has served as Chief Operations Officer in a variety of industries and has extensive financial management experience. Patricia was an integral part of bringing privately held corporations to IPO. Ms.Davis started her career working within sales and client relations and moved up through organizations tasked with P&L and fiduciary responsibilities. She has extensive start-up and operational change management experience.
Managing Director, VP of Business Assessment
Mr. Chumbook has over 25 years of professional leadership experience with 15 years of specialized training and experience conducting business analysis. Rob has worked with clients ranging in annual revenues from 1 million to 100 million and specializes in construction, manufacturing, engineering, and distribution. In addition to outside expertise in the market place, Rob also has a business ownership background having run his own successful business for several years. Rob has obtained expertise and experience working with hundreds of businesses on industrial processes, job costing, distribution and inventory, sales and marketing, computer systems, and over all successful best business practices and organization.
Mr. Chumbook graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/Entrepreneur Science from the business school at the University of Southern California. Rob recently moved from Chicago to Jacksonville, FL and has one daughter.

As VP of Business Development, Jim McKie brings over 30 years of diverse experience working with both for-profit and non-profit organizations throughout the United States and Latin America. Jim has owned and operated multiple companies ranging from software development, internet marketing and brand development to business consulting, training, and capital raising for various real estate development projects. Jim has held various C-Level positions at companies over his 30 years in business. Mr. McKie also holds a board seat with Life After Active Duty, an organization dedicated to helping veterans re-integrate into their communities after their military careers have come to an end.
Mr. McKie is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and has a B.A. degree in Business Administration.
Chief Technology Officer
Alex brings over a decade of professional software engineering and architecture experience. He has leadership experience in information technology and manufacturing industries. His passion is artificial intelligence sciences and combined with his expertise in web and mobile development, he is pushing Smart Business Doctor to the cutting edge of technology.
Mr. Paluzzi has a B.S. degree in Management Information Systems with emphasis on Computer Science.

Ralph Watson has a varied and extensive career spanning 45 years of increasingly responsible positions in both sales and operations in a very diverse mix of industry specialties, including food processing, textile and apparel, financial services, strategic marketing and professional management consulting.
As a Senior Executive Analyst with several international managements consulting firms, he distinguished himself as one of the top analysts in a highly competitive field. He also and was an International Business Coach for SkillPath Executive Services coaching 10 businesses in Germany and the United Kingdom.
Earlier in his career, he rose to Associate Manager of three divisions of the third largest milk cooperative in the country where he turned around a failing division and decertified two powerful unions. Moving from there he joined the Southland Corporation to launch the Dole Fruit N’ Juice Bar and a franchise program with Coca-Cola Foods. Later he joined a family owned, vertically integrated textile and apparel company and within 6 months was Vice-President of Sales. He took the company from a Cost Plus5% product mix to one carrying a 30% Gross Margin. He then went into business for himself in the highly competitive industry of financial services where he set up a national health insurance program for the Business Partners of IBM and later earned a license to implement the Monopolize Your Marketplace strategic marketing system.
He holds a BSA degree from the University of Georgia.
VP of Tax & Strategic Planning
Michael Gawel serves as VP of Tax & Strategic Planning for Smart Business Doctor, and he has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1980. Michael graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BBA in Accounting from Niagara University, and graduated from the School of Law JD at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1984. Michael is married to his wife Michelle, and they have three children. Michael heads up the department that provides our clients with full analysis tax reviews personally, as well as business. His mission is to provide all our Smart Business Doctor clients with the highest level of corporate liability protection regarding tax, and corporate exposure, by planning and using corporate laws and regulations to build wealth and maximize profits.
